Malaysia-Singapore Airlines was born out of a partnership between Malaysia and Singapore in 1966, offering world-class service with a fleet of modern aircraft.

1946

MSA was originally founded as Malayan Airways by the British Administration in 1946, after the Second World War. Our first plane was piloted by Jimmy Brown and Ken Wood, with our first operable plane being the Airspeed Consul, given to us by the British Administration.

1965

Malayan Airways would later be renamed to the Malaysian Airways. At the time, the Federation of Malaysia had formed and included Singapore. During this time, we opened air routes to Batavia, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Vientiane. On April 1st, 1965, Malaysian Airways was merged with Borneo Airways.

Post-Expulsion

After the expulsion of Singapore, both governments decided to keep the Airline, this time rebranded as the Malaysia-Singapore Airline.

Today

Today, 78 years later, MSA continues to take their passengers all over the world. MSA is among the cheapest airlines in the world, especially for travelling to Asia-Pacific.

These are MSA's main destinations from Europe. If the area you want to travel to isn't available here, please come to our headquarters in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, or our European offices in Paris, London and Berlin.
